The seafan, Eunicella verrucosa, is a soft coral. It is very slow-growing at approximately 5-6mm per year (about twice this in the first few years). It is near its northern limit of distribution in Pembrokeshire, being a Mediterranean species. (© Skomer Marine Nature Reserve, CCW)
