Educational Resources
One of the most important ways that we take care of the site is to raise awareness and explain to people why the SAC is such a special place. The SAC Officer works with others who run events and activities throughout the year with the public and local school groups. We hope people will then develop a greater understanding of how remarkable the marine environment of Pembrokeshire is, and that they will want to help to protect the marine wildlife that can be found here.
“Through interpretation, understanding; through understanding, appreciation; through appreciation, protection” Freeman Tilden (Interpreting our Heritage, 1957).
“No one will protect what they don’t care about; and no one will care about what they have never experienced.” David Attenborough.
“If people lose knowledge, sympathy and understanding of the natural world, they’re going to mistreat it and will not ask their politicians to care for it.” David Attenborough.
